Self-Reflection on LP-9
- What are the skills I used in LP-9(13\10\2020)?
Demonstration, Explanation, Stimulus variation.
- Where did I go wrong?
I got a little confused while writing degrees.
- What are my positives?
My teaching skills improved very much. Used models and charts to explain the concept. Demonstration and explanation was good. Had good voice modulation, reinforcement, gestures and was able to manage the class well.
- What have I learned from my mistakes inorder to improve myself as a teacher?
A teacher shouldn't make any mistakes while explaining and if ever made, should be humble enough to correct it and accept that mistake has been made.
Self-Reflection on LP-8
- What are the skills I used in LP-8(09\10\2020)?
Explanation, Reinforcement, Class management
- Where did I go wrong?
I had health issues so it was difficult for me to focus and therefore made mistakes while explaining and also forgot to use the teaching aid.
- What are my positives?
Improved reinforcement skill compared to other classes.
- What have I learned from my mistakes inorder to improve myself as a teacher?
A teacher's priority should be students and in providing quality education. Health should never stand as an obstacle in teaching and learning. It is always better not to take class if one is not well. In unavoidable circumstances, it would be better to give class work rather than teaching.
Self-Reflection on LP-2
- What are the skills I used in LP-2(05\10\2020)?
Demonstration, Questioning, Class management.
- Where did I go wrong?
I forgot to give reinforcement along with questioning.
- What are my positives?
Neat blackboard drawing and model enhanced the demonstration skill. Used eliciting method. Made class more interactive. Managed the class quiet well by giving strict instructions and firm looks at those who were disobedient.
- What have I learned from my mistakes inorder to improve myself as a teacher?
I need to put more effort in the reinforcement skills.
Self-Reflection on LP-1
- What are the skills I used in LP-1(24\09\2020)?
Set Induction, stimulus variation and explanation.
- Where did I go wrong?
Being it the first class, I had some tension. I could have brought some more teaching aids. I need to improve on my interaction with students. Also, I need to impart more reinforcement.
- What are my positives?
I have been told that I have the perfect appearance of a teacher and my language is good. Skills were done properly. My explanation and gestures were pretty good.
- What have I learned from my mistakes inorder to improve myself as a teacher?
Reinforcement and interaction play an important role in keeping students motivated in class. Teaching aids can make the class more concept friendly and interactive.
